London, September 2011—The Gerriets G-QUICK, an ingenious new time-saving device for hanging drapes, has received a PLASA Award for Innovation. The award was presented by the International Jury at the PLASA Show, in London, a leading international trade show for event, installation, and entertainment technology.
Gerriets developed the G-QUICK to create an alternative to traditional methods of hanging drapery. The patented device replaces tie lines as a means of attaching grommeted soft goods to pipe battens, making it possible to install and strike stage curtains, backdrops, and other drapery 3 to 4 times faster than by conventional methods.
G-QUICK:
One G-QUICK consists of
- plastic clip
- plastic ball
- elastic strap
- Flag strap

A plastic clip securely snaps through the grommet hole while an elastic strap with a small plastic ball ensures a flexible connection around the batten.
All material used is flame retardant.
G-Quick is available in 2 different sizes for 50-60 mm and 70-80 mm pipe diameters.
